"If given the opportunity, my dog Grover would prefer to stay glued to my side. Since this is an unrealistic scenario, for both his mental health and mine, we decided to enlist the service of Bernard. A lifelong friendship has been born between them! Over the four years that they have walked together, I have witnessed the unlikely blossoming of my dearest companion. Initially, Grover made a beeline for Washington Square Park - if anyone tried a different walk, he would refuse to move and jerk his head longingly towards his favorite place. Over the past few years, Bernard completed his studies in behavioral training. One day he offered to work on some of Grover’s quirks during their walks, in hopes of ending some of our dog’s neuroses: refusal to walk past the vet (don’t blame him!), inability to go anywhere but the Park, and reducing the insistence of being carried when on our street. After Bernard’s training, I can honestly say that Grover is a more confident, happy dog, who is only too delighted to deviate from said route. Aside from his kindness bestowed on our pet, Bernard has consistently been caring, reliable, and patient, especially since Grover 'needed' him to keep his text message alerts on the silent function. Another neurosis! Anyone who enlists the service of Bernard for training, boarding, walking, running, or all of the above, will be lucky to acquire a new friend."
